Production Area Manager: Paint Shop
Reporting to Senior Production Manager, the Production Area Manager is responsible for ensuring the proper and effective operation of their department. The role requires overseeing the day to day of the paint shop, of directing the manufacturing process of products, to ensure that high volumes of quality products are created within strict timelines and budgets. The Production Area Manager is also responsible for the health and safety of all staff under their management on the production line. The role involves planning, monitoring and controlling the means of production to deliver products profitably and efficiently.
Duties:
- Lead and supervision of the paint shop
- Take ownership for the efficient running and quality control of your department
- Implement and maintain company policies and procedures
- Monitor performance metrics and implement strategies for improvement
- Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with standards
- Provide training and development opportunities for staff
- Resolve any operational issues or conflicts that may arise
- Work closely with the planning team to ensure we meet all deadlines.
- You will be required to be flexible in this position and must be prepared to undertake other reasonable duties from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a leadership role.
- Strong supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Spray painting knowledge and or experience needed.
